Welcome to the new website for the Preston Group of Lodges and Chapters in the Province of West Lancashire.
May I thank you for visiting our website and I hope that it will be useful and informative both to Masons and non-Masons who wish to expand their interest in all aspects of Freemasonry.
Today our group is made up of 16 lodges and 11 chapters. We have three meeting places within the group: Preston Masonic Hall, Ashlar House, Saul Street, Leyland Masonic Hall, Wellington Park, Church Road and the Norman Jepson, Beefeater Inn, Bluebell Way, Preston.
Freemasonry has enjoyed strong links with Preston for more than 200 years dating back to the founding of the Lodge of Justice No 484 in 1775. Although some traditions have been upheld over the years, we are continuing to move with modern times which is clearly seen here on our new website.
It has been designed to be user-friendly and I hope that it will encourage you to become more involved with the group either as a lodge or chapter member or as a visitor. All our lodge and chapter meetings are listed as well as the many social events which are taking place at both grgoup and Provincial level. These social events have a warm and friendly atmosphere to which our partners, family and friends are most welcome.
If you are not a Mason, I hope our Website will raise your awareness of Freemasonry and what it truly stands for. If this is the case and you would like to know more, please do not hesitate to contact us. We are very approachable and sociable men who would be only too happy to talk to you on a more personal level. Any questions and / or contact details can be found on the relevant pages.
Once again thank you for sharing your time with us and I hope you enjoy your visit to the website of the Preston Group.
